About
Pioneer Living began as an 18-part television series distributed nationally on PBS Plus, hosted by the late Oscar-nominated Pat Morita — best known as Mr. Miyagi in The Karate Kid movies — and featuring lessons gleaned from interviewing more than 300 individuals whose stories reflect the American experience of achievement, leadership, and belonging.
The series has since expanded into a library of educational video content serving schools, corporations, government agencies, and workforce readiness programs. Our work on the immigrant and acculturation experience has earned recognition from the U.S. Department of Justice, a congressional endorsement, a governor’s citation and praise in school library journals, TV, and newspapers.
Today, Pioneer Living offers performance-licensed video content ready for institutional use — and available for customization. Corporate and organizational clients can have any title tailored with their own branding, industry-specific visuals, and workplace footage, making the content feel fully native to their organization.
If you are looking for turnkey educational video or a customized training solution that carries the weight of national broadcast credentials, we invite you to explore our catalog or contact us to discuss your requirements. Our direct-to-consumer content and courses are posted on our new YouTube channel @PioneerLiving.
